🎄 Santa’s Village

Located at the very center of Evela — the North Pole of Dondavar

Santa’s Village is a magical, bustling community where joy is both craft and culture. It lies nestled in a snow-covered basin ringed by gently sloping hills and stands of evergreen trees that glimmer with frost. The village is a mosaic of warm light, laughter, music, and purposeful hustle, and serves as the heart of holiday cheer not just for elves and reindeer — but for the entire world.

🏘️ Village Layout & Landmarks

The Great Fir Tree:
Towering above the central square, this ancient, living fir is strung year-round with enchanted lights and ornaments. It serves as a gathering place for celebrations, concerts, and announcements. A wooden stage beneath its boughs hosts everything from harmonica jams to town meetings.

Candy Cane Lane:
The main cobbled street lined with peppermint-striped lamp posts. On either side, shops bustle with activity: toy repair huts, bookbinders, sweet shops, and elf tailors crafting seasonal wear.

Kathy’s Candy Shop:
Famous for her triple-layer marshmallow fudge and rootbeer-fizz truffles, this cozy bakery is always scented with cinnamon and laughter. It’s a favorite stop for elves on breaks — and a critical morale booster in December.

The Workshop Complex:
A sprawling network of buildings where each elf guild practices its specialty — from the Sleigh Engineering Hall to the Puzzle & Games Loft. Skylights let natural light pour in, and enchanted conveyor belts hum quietly beneath the floorboards.

The Great Hearth Hall:
This grand lodge is the emotional center of Santa’s Village. A massive stone fireplace blazes in its heart, where silver bells hang to commemorate each heroic journey or remarkable deed. Meals, songs, and stories are shared nightly.

Stables & Reindeer Fields:
To the north, large heated stables house the legendary reindeer teams. Adjacent fields allow for training runs and practice take-offs. Reindeer wranglers like Rudy Winters keep them in top form.

Messenger Elf Post Tower:
A sky-blue spire rising just east of the town center, where tiny Messenger Elves launch into the sky to deliver updates and messages across Dondavar — and even beyond.

Sleigh Docks:
On the village’s southern edge lies a curved bay where sleighs are launched and tested. Magical fairy dust runways shimmer faintly in the snow under moonlight.

🧝‍♀️ Inhabitants & Culture

Santa’s Village is home to all three types of elves:

True Elves (clever, sociable) fill artisan roles and lead creative projects.

Shoe Elves (meticulous, practical) manage inventory, maintenance, and tight logistics.

Messenger Elves (magical constructs) dart through the sky with messages, updates, and often, practical jokes.

Together with the reindeer teams, a few snow-goats, and seasonal visitors (such as snow fairies or guest humans from Dromstad), they form a warm, generous community that balances joy and duty.

🎶 Traditions

Harmonica Hour — Daily informal music sessions led by elves (and often Santa).

The Silver Bell Tradition — Every noble deed earns a bell in the Hearth Hall.

December 1st Lighting — When the Great Fir Tree is fully lit by a choir of Messenger Elves and a single note on Santa’s harmonica.
