Switching Gears.
Its time to switch things up. Today, I've removed all the stories that had been posted on Santa-Claus.fun. Those will be published in the coming months, along with a bunch more. You can investigate things on Evela.net. Later, either this weekend or next week, I'll be redesigning this website as well.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I finally was able to pick up the new Santa Vehicle. I've already ordered the new camper cap, which will be delivered in a month or two. I still need to generate the vector graphic files for the wrap, but progress is finally being made.

Santa Claus is on vacation. During the last 10 days, I went ahead and purchased my new Santa-mobile. Still haven't picked it up... hopefully Monday. Next steps will include adding a pickup cap, and getting a Santa appropriate vehicle wrap.
That's not all. I finally started work on the new websites... including creating a landing page for Evela.net (https://Evela.net). Still to come, Dondavar.com and a rebuild of Santa-Claus.fun using WordPress, but those will be for later.

Nine more days of Santa Claus remain. And at the same time, I've gotten half The Santa Legacy back from the Publisher's editor. Everything should be coming together sometime in January.

I'm still in Santa mode, which means my time is limited to a few odd minutes in the evenings and on weekends. Thus, not much is happening with regard to writing the next chapter, or book in my Evela/Dondavar series. However, I am pleased to report that I've received my new computer that I will be using exclusively to work on the books, as well as to edit this and other websites related to my writing. Now, if I just had time to set it up...
I'd also like to mention that as of the end of this month (AFTER Christmas!), I will be removing the stories for The Santa Legacy, All the Others, and Dexter Tinker from the Santa-Claus.fun website. These were first drafts, and I don't want to leave them cluttering things up as we move forward to publication. There will be one or more new web sites (Evela.net and Dondavar.com) being established at that time, that will provide news and informaiton about these and other books as they are created, as well as links where they can be purchased.

Just got off a call with my publisher. They continue to review my manuscript, The Santa Legacy. So far they've returned 7 chapters, polished and shiny, for my approval. They made very minor edits, and they were all good. I look forward to seeing the remaining 33 chapters over the coming weeks.
Also, I gave the go-ahead on the illustrations that go with the book. 47 illustrations will take a few weeks to complete. But I expect that in January or February I'll be seeing an ARC of the book.

Today, I signed up for this years Northern Lights Santa Academy. Looking forward to attending school, with the hope that I'll have the ARC version of The Santa Legacy.

I just completed my fourth night as Santa at the Durham Bulls Festibull of Lights. This is a 3 hour nightly gig for a total of 29 nights. I enjoy the event, since it pays well, and will generate over half of my Santa earnings for the year. This money will be reinvested in my Santa business, which is expanding from performance to writing. It will also cover part of the down payment on my new truck. The old truck is a 2013 model, and getting to the age that maintenance will become more frequent and expensive.
Tomorrow is turkey day, but the day after that I'm back to being Santa.

Well, Santa Season is well and truly started. I have a public event with the FestiBull of Lights at the Durham Bulls Baseball Park, and will continue to do so most evenings for the remainder of the season.
That's not all that started. I submitted my (3rd) draft of The Santa Legacy to the publisher, and they are doing a quick and necessary edit of the book. I expect to hear back from them today or early next week, and all thing being acceptable, I'll be ready to move forward on the book toward publishing sometime in January or February. When it becomes available, I will set up a store to host it, along with related merchandise.
That being said, the time constraints being placed on me by my regular job, Toastmasters, my writing endevors, and 47 other things that vie for my attention, I am discontinuing the Evela Daily News Report for the indefinite future. Don't worry... those stories are not lost to the world. They will be reappearing in a later book in the Dondavar/Evela series.
